Offering compassionate, evidence-based therapy to help you thrive

Anyone can listen to your story — but real healing happens when someone helps you make sense of of your story. I offer compassionate, trauma-informed therapy designed to help you find meaning in your experiences and reconnect with the life you were meant to live. Whether you're recovering from trauma or managing the ongoing challenges of chronic illness, I provide evidence-based support to help you build resilience, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose. You don’t have to do this alone—healing is possible, and it begins here.

Elliott Counseling: Your Safe, Compassionate Path to Personalized Healing

I founded Elliott Counseling with a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves a safe, compassionate space to share their story and begin their healing journey—free from judgment and pressure. After working in a community mental health agency for several years, I knew  I wanted to create a practice where people could receive trauma-informed care tailored to their unique needs and pace. Over the years, through listening closely and learning how healing truly happens, I’ve built Elliott Counseling into a place where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered. Here, you’ll find the support and flexibility to heal in the way that feels right for you—because your story, and your path to wellness, matters.

I am available for in-person appointments in Everett or online throughout Washington

Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I’m Liz Elliott, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 14 years of experience helping individuals heal from trauma and reconnect with their sense of purpose. After earning my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I began my career working with an  incredible team. We met exclusively with survivors of abuse. There, I received over 70 hours of specialized training in trauma recovery—training that continues to inform my approach with every client I meet.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with people navigating the aftermath of physical and sexual abuse, religious trauma, family trauma, and the often invisible trauma that can come from trying to get help within the medical system. What so many of my clients have in common is a deep need to make sense of their story—and a longing to know they’re not “crazy” for feeling what they feel.

In our work together, I offer a safe, supportive space where your story is honored and your healing is possible. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices that help you rebuild trust—in yourself, in others, and in life.

Outside of my work, I’m inspired by a deep faith that humans are meant to live lives filled with meaning, connection, and community.  This is how I strive to live my life and it is this belief that guides my practice. I am reminded every day that healing isn’t just about surviving—it’s about rediscovering who you are and the life you were meant to live.
